Try Sailing in May with RYA Push the Boat Out @ West Riding Sailing Club

Saturday 11th May 11.00am - 4.00pm

Looking to spend time with family and enjoy the great outdoors? Have you ever considered what might be possible on-the-water? And it’s probably closer to home than you think! The RYA’s Push the Boat Out campaign is returning this spring to offer you the chance to try sailing or windsurfing for little or no cost. No experience necessary!

What is Push the Boat Out?

Push the Boat Out is a series of open days offering free or low cost ‘Try Sailing’ opportunities around the UK. More than 350 RYA affiliated clubs and training centres will be opening their doors to the local community to try sailing.

What can I expect from an open day event?

Push the Boat Out is aimed at anyone interested in getting into a boat and out on the water. With no experience or equipment necessary, events are aimed at complete beginners, as well as more experienced sailors looking for a way back into the sport or interested in finding out more about their local club. Families, children, partners, individuals, groups of friends – everyone is welcome.

If you would like to attend, we would recommend that you contact us and express your interest or ask any questions.

What do I need to bring?

All kit and safety equipment is provided, all you need is; some clothes you don't mind getting wet (ideally not jeans), a change of clothes (to wear after your on-the-water activity) and a towel.

Refreshments and a barbeque will be available on the day.

Directions to the club can be found here.
