The WRSC Early Spring Series has now started at WRSC, and runs until the 27th of April '25. WRSC's 1st Wednesday Evening Series 2025 kicks off  on Wednesday the 9th of April 2025 and runs through to the 11th of June.  Both series are a perfect way to get back into sailing after the winter months if you've not been sailing.

9th April - 1st Wednesday Night Series Starts

The wait is over - The 1st Wednesday Night Series starts again on the 9th of April, meaning that Summer is fast approaching and the nights will be getting brighter, finally! This is the ideal time to start dusting off your sails, sprucing up your boats and checking no little fluffy critters have had their way with any important ropes over the colder months. For all-year-round sailors, the start of the Wednesday Night Series signals that it's time to dust of your shorts, switch up your wardrobe and don your finest sailing gear. Summer here we come!

12th April '25 -  North East Youth Traveller at WRSC

West Riding Sailing Club hosts the North East Youth Traveller on the 12th April '25. This Open series supports all young sailors across the region. The series is a fun opportunity for young sailors in the region to sail against their peers on a handicap basis. Sailors of all class, level and ability are welcome. ILCA UK Grand Prix Series - North » ILCA GP - West Riding Sailing Club 26th April '25. 

Last year we saw 20 boats out on the water at the WRSC ILCA Laser Northern Series. Stuart, WRSC's Laser Class Captain, will be pulling out all stops again this year to make this event another show stopper! And, Sam will be doing the same in the galley, with her Class-A 2000 crew and catering skills. Her 'Star Bake Off' skills are not to be missed. If you don't own a Laser then don't forget you can use a club Laser. May 3rd - RYA Taster Session (Followed by Level 1  on 24th May and 31st and then Level 2 in June). 

Tom and his team of trained RYA volunteers head up another round of RYA Training Sessions at WRSC. Everyone at WRSC looks forward to welcoming all new members to the club. Welcome aboard.

10th May - WRSC Day 2 of 3 2025 Workday dates

Can you lend hand at the club? Workdays at the club ensure that the club and the grounds are in top condition all-year-round for members and visiting travelling guests. WRSC's workdays are great all-round member volunteering days, and are an ideal way to get to know existing members, forge new friends at the club, or catch-up with members. WRSC throws on food for all members helping out at the club. So if you have some time to spare, why not lend a hand in making WRSC a nice place to be. And grab some food in the return.

Spring Series 1st June for the Laser Sybil Highfield Trophy, Solo Trophy and Handicap Dadswell Salver.

It's back - taking the stage by storm - The Thompson Crew host the Class 2000 Latitude Series at WRSC 

WRSC welcomes the return of the Class 2000 weekend at WRSC. This is an Open weekend for all members not to be missed. Whether you own a Class 2000, you just love sailing, you're NEW to the club and want to know more about sailing and/or sailing a Class 2000! This event is an Open event not to be missed. The Class 2000 Open Weekend caters for ALL WRSC members with weekend package options catering for all WRSC Members, sailing or not.
